Eyesight

Image linked from www.bigfoto.com

On Tuesday I put on my contact lens and felt a mild discomfort (close to being painful) on my left eye. Not wanting to take the risk, I remove the left lens and took a closer look at it. The lens is chipped at the edge.

It's high time that I change this pair of permanent lens. A pair of lens normally lasts me for around 2 years, although this is against the advise of the optometrician who would tell you to change your lens every year. In fact, he told me to switch to disposable lens (monthly disposable), using the "young generation" tagline to tempt me into the switch.

So since I was already at the optometrician, I might as well change my pair of spectacles too. After trying on around 5 different designs, I finally decided upon this frame by Liquid (supposed to be a famous brand in Denmark?) and now here I am, sitting in front of my laptop, wearing my new pair of glasses.

If anyone of you felt that I was blinking way too much yesterday night, it was because I am still trying to get used to the ultra soft disposable contact lens. And oh, did I mention that the power has increased to close to 1000?

Arggghh...
