Song Leading

I have to confess, I am not a good song leader. Reason is because I always felt I am being lead by the pianist and the crowd instead. The pianist is not that good? Okay, let's play some easy songs, the pianist is too busy? Okay, let's ask the pianist to pick the songs. Yup, I did that before. Asking the pianist to pick my songs. Amazing right? Or crowd is too old? Okay, let's play some oldies or a good conductor is worshiping with us today? Okay, reduce my mic output. Or best of all, I am a methodist, so you got to song lead like one. This makes me wonder, why are doing it at all. Why do you need a song leaders if they cannot impart their personality into the music or the worship? What if their spiritual walk is irrelevant toward their songs or how they express their love for God. What if they have already stumbled? What if they are gays? Okay, maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but I guess nothing else really matters. Song leading is all about HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD. The only reason why we even sing. This week, God opened my eyes to see how great He really is. At the end of the day, doesn't really matter if you're a methodist or a catholic, or if you're old or too young, doesn't really matter if you're fearful to take the stage as song leader or bold as an ox, what really matters is we sing because OUR GOD IS GREAT!!! Have a good coming Sunday guys!!
