Brief Update

Wow... its been some time.. I actually forgotten about the Woot blogpage until when I sign in to my gmail account today and I saw the login for woot blogpage!

Let me just give yall a brief update on myself!

Its been a very experiential and full of challenges year last year 2011. Time to go back to 'SCHOOL' this year and continue to be trained and equipped in the WORD. So far, I am still trying to adjust back to a life of a student here... have to stop procrastinating on my assignment and start it as early as possible.

This year's weekend, I am serving in Kajang Chinese Methodist Church (KJCMC) in the English Language Ministry (ELM) and also serving in Putrajaya Methodist Preaching Point (PMPP). Yup! more ministry and more travelling to do this year! I've been put fully in-charge to run the Youth Ministry both in KJCMC's ELM and PMPP. so far, my ministry is ok! just a bit tired on sundays because have to run two services!

Continue to uplift me in your prayers!

Live for Today

Matthew 6:33 - 34

This text is not alien to Christians, most of us know how to sing the song about this verse. I prepared this short message for prayer meeting. After preparing, I need to do some translation to mandarin cause the prayer meeting was conducted in Mandarin. So, I Google translate the title 'Live for Today' - 今朝有酒今朝醉。 If you understand Chinese, you'll know that this is a Chinese proverb.

Do you remember what master Oogway said to Master Shifu in the Kungfu Panda? "Yesterday ishistory, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift that's why it is called the present." we need to live for today.

Yesterday is past. Like Apostle Paul. it is wise to forget what is the behind. Paul said, "I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do. Forgetting what is behind..."

Tomorrow is yet to come. We do not know about tomorrow. It will do us no good to worry about it. So, it is better to leave it in God's hand. What we have is today. Just today, make life worth living and meaningful.

I have 5 points for us to live just for today:

1. Count your blessings, not your troubles.
2. Walk the second mile with love and kindness
3. Forget the past and move on with our lives with God.
4. Live one day at a time.
5. Do not be in hurry, not worry about tomorrow.

Follow this points and live your life for today and you'll know that your day would be more cheerful than before to face the day that was given to us.

Resist the Devil's attack

Yesterday, a speaker came to my church and talk about resisting the Devil. This scripture is found in JAMES 4:7,8. It is amazing how many people today fear the devil so much as though as they are giving credit for his handy works.

Some people even went to the extend to blame everything on the Devil if their life is in a super mess and nothing seems to be working in their life. Some who are super spiritual have all kinds of critics on images or decorative items that if it is placed in the house, the devil will come and live in it and will cause the household troubles! I am not saying here is to let the Devil do what he wants but don't you think by being so super spiritual about the Devil, why don't just focus on the Lord instead? in proverbs it said "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom" (Prov. 9:10).

Basically, there are 3 ways that the devil will attack believers or even non-believers. First, physical attack. It is believed that the devil have the power to cause people to be sick and have physical limitation. But even so, sometimes we blame everything to the devil when we are sick. at times these sickness is the cause of our own lifestyle or even because of our own sins. Well, the world solution to this attack or the devil's solution for people is with all kinds of therapy and medication. This causes people to focus on therapies and medicine instead of trusting in God to provide healing. Well, don't get me wrong, medicine and therapies are good but we must not just focus in it and forsaking God.

Secondly, the Devil attack our intellectuals. By this I mean, he attack from the educational point of view. Some people thinks that education is the most important thing in life until they have to forsake God. People have taken so highly of education but is there an improvement in the society we are living in? Malaysia is considered an educational hub in South East Asia, but there are corruptions in Malaysia. Education is to help people to be more advance but as you see today's society it is still in the dump! Even, parents place tuition classes for their children as priority over Worship or even over God! The only way we could resist this is to fear the Lord!

Thirdly, is the attack on Morality. Just look at the news paper! the morality of people is not getting better! it is getting worst, even with the best education provided people are still morally poor. Will the culture of Sodom and Gomorrah come back to the world? just look at the news! you can answer it yourself! the world's solution to this attack is with MONEY.. people think that money will solve all kinds of problems.. they are wrong, you can be filthy rich but morally you are poor!

Do we fall into these attack of the Devil? let us stand firm in the Lord and resist the Devil. James 4:7, 8 says "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you..." all we need to do is to submit to God and resist the devil, then God will draw near to us!!

Too Comfortable!

Matthew 28:18-20

You have probably heard this sermon form all kinds of speakers since Noah's time. But there are Christians in the church that are still very comfortable just attending and sitting in Church listening to tons and tons of messages but there are no action. Basically,there are 5 means of growth for Believers of Christ:

1. Bible

2. Prayer

3. Worship

4. Fellowship

5. Witness

The most neglected part of growth is and always are to witness. We can read the bible from cover to cover, we can pray for hours, we come to church and worship God, we have good fellowship with other brethens, but when it come to witnessing, we always made excuses for it. This is the great commission that most christians are practicing now:

Therefore WAIT, and people will come to church, and make disciples from every nation...

There was a survey done, and there are only less than 5% of believers who obey the great commission to witness to people. Christians like i say are now very comfortable within the 4 walls of the church building and are unwilling to go out to witness! some will say, I will witness by my lifestyle! is your lifestyle so perfect and good that people will see? we are not perfect and if we witness by our lifestyle how do you share the good news by not telling? so stop giving all the excuses for not witnessing, there are a lot of tools and seminars in the church that helps Christians to witness.

Stop being too comfortable and GO and share the GOOD NEWS!

Be a Smart Sheep

John 10:1-10

The Gospel of John is a very interesting gospel, while the other gospel uses facts and historical account of Jesus. John uses a lot of imageries to illustrate the Gospel.

One of the most interesting illustration of Jesus was the good shepherd. Like a shepherd, Jesus is concerned of the welfare and the care of His sheep. He didn't call himself

King Jesus, President Jesus, Mayor Jesus, Reverend, Deacon or Chairman. But He call himself a servant, a watchmen, a caretaker, a provider and a shepherd.

We are his people and the sheep of his pasture…

We depend on God, for everything…And just as a shepherd watches over his sheep…So does God watch over his children…

Being a shepherd is not an easy task like many who have imagined, it is a professional skill to look after sheep and often it is passed down from father to son. Just like what we know about sheep, they are not very bright animals compare to dogs, dolphin or parrots. A sheep do not know how to go look for food by its own, or even knows the way back to the sheep pen if its lost. that's why one of the parables of Jesus told us that the shepherd have to leave the 99 sheep and go look for the 1 lost sheep.

Don't you think we humans are like sheep as well? we always wander off by ourselves, thinking that we are our own masters, and we get ourselves lost, whether in career, relationships, finance or love life. we need the good shepherd to help us to direct us back to the abundant life that he promised to give us.

In this chapter, it illustrates to us that sheep knows the shepherd's voice and listen to him. How often we really listen to the voice of Jesus when we are in trouble? we always complain and murmur against God. remember the story about footprint? it should always be a reminder to us that when problem arises we need to heed to the voice of our Lord and know that he is carrying us through the time of difficulties. Thats why Jesus is described as a Good shepherd.

He loved us so much that he died on the cross for us.

He loved us so much that our sins become his burden.

He loved us so much that His righteousness became ours.

In the Old Testament the sheep dies for the shepherd, Now the Shepherd dies for His sheep.

Let's be a smart sheep that listen to the voice of our Shepherd.

New Life, New Hope

Ephesians 2:1-10

I've just spoke a sermon on Eph 2:1-10 and CC talks about life of Christianity is hard but receiving the new life in Christ is an AMAZING GRACE from God who acts through Christ on the Cross.

In this part of the text that Paul writes to the Ephesian Church, he continue to encourage them with the reason for the salvation. I divided this text into 3 parts:

1. Consider your OLD LIFE 2:1-3

Paul says that we WERE dead, we WERE unrighteous, and we WERE objects of God's wrath. we were like a living dead in the sight of God all covered in SIN because we walked according to the course of this world. Rom 6:32 "the wages of SIN is death." Paul was emphasizing that we "WERE" before we know Christ.

2. Celebrate your NEW LIFE 2:4-6; 8-10

with the word "but" that begins in verse 4, it separates the DEATH and HOPE in Christ Jesus. By GRACE we are saved, God gave us his amazing grace. Not only we are saved but By GRACE we are raised. Raised up to be seated in the heavenlies with Jesus Christ. Because of His great love and mercy, God reach down to the very depths of our sin, saved us from death and lifted us up. In doing so, By GRACE we are re-created. we are re-created for good works. 2 Cor. 5:17 says: "Therefore is anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, new things have come."

3. Rejoice for your NEW HOPE in the future 2:7

We rejoice now because we have a new hope in the future. In the future we have no DEATH (Rev. 21:4), we have an eternity with Jesus (1 Thes 4:17), we have the presence of the Father (Rev. 22:4), and we have a Home beyond compare (Rev. 21:11-23). (p.s. this is interesting... read about it in the bible)

Remember that God's grace is already given to those who are willing to believe and to accept Him as Lord and Savior. Let us continue to walk in the Grace of God and let Christ direct our life, whether it is easy or hard the Holy Spirit will be our guide.

Lack of CTRL

John 6:60-70

I worked as a computer technician long time ago. One day, my computer couldn't start and there was no display on the monitor. As a computer technician myself, i tried to fix it on my own. After troubleshooting the computer for about 1 hour i finally gave up because I cannot find the problem to it. Finally, I decided to call my colleague and told him about the problem. He told me that it was simple because one of the RAM was burned and that was the cause of it not running.

This reminds me, when I started my studies and ministries, there are times I felt lack of control in situations when I used my own understanding to solve problems. Thus, this lead to a dead end road and I do not know where else to go. But instead of feeling sorry and down, I know i can point to the One who can help and have the answers. Instead of controlling it myself, I let him take control.

Just like the passage from John 6, many disciples deserted Jesus because of the hard teaching that He taught and many do not understand because they are trying to understand it by their own physical down to earth knowledge. What Jesus is trying to teach is of the spiritual realm not physical. When Jesus asked His 12 Disciples, "Are you also going to leave?" (Jn 6:67). Peter was the only one who understood it and answered for the rest of the Disciples, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life" (Jn 6:68).

A lot of times, we want to have control over things by ourselves and because of this we will always face more problem and end up in a dead end road. Jesus is the only one we can point to and give him the control especially when it seems that there are nowhere else to go to. He alone can bring us peace and hope in our times of need if we are willing to let go our control and let Him take control.

Which way would you go?

Deuteronomy 30:15-20

I always enjoy playing a good RPG game, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and many more. In the game, I get to choose the storyline and I get to just go out into the map and start leveling up until my character is so strong that I can defeat the enemy in an instant. The best part is that some RPG when I play there is a choice in the story whereby there is an alternate ending to the game and I can save my game whenever I get lost or made a mistake.

But in reality, there is no such thing as a "save point" where I can save my progress in life or start over if i make a bad choice.

Many times, real life presents us with choices, hard choices that must be weighted before making a decision. An incorrect choice will lead us to eternal matters that can a bad. God has set eternal choices for us today, just like in Deut. 30:15-20 when God chose to spoke to the Israelites through Moses. Our journey on earth may include diseases, sickness, hardship or death. The choice that we can make is the call of obedience to God tho wants us to love Him and love others.

Some people even have made the bad choice in life, the consequences of that involve hardships and sufferings. Jesus says "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." Even though some of us had made a wrong decision in life, God is merciful and if we commit to Him our lives and earnestly seek and learn His ways and Truth. He will lead us back to the road that is laid before us.

The choice is ours to make: eternal Life and Prosperity or Eternal Death and Adversity. God has set these up like a fork in a road whereby each of us must choose whether to follow Him or to reject Him, love Him or hate Him.

Let us continue to reflect on this as we enter to a season of Lent. Ask God to help us if we have chose the wrong path ask Him to direct us back to Him. Let us choose to obey Him and walk with Him.

Listen, God is Speaking!

You know, it is really hard for us to really sit down and listen to a normal lecture or a sermon in Church, how well are we in listening to God? Even if we quieten ourselves to listen to God, our inner conscience/mind will start wondering. Thinking of the shopping trip the next day, thinking of the share market, thinking of relationships and all other things. Even for me it is the same, when I start to listen to God, I will think about my subjects in STM, my sermons not completed, bible study not prepared, who to visit next.

We need a lot of discipline and encouragements if we are to really listen and hear God speaking to us. Thats why when we read the Bible there are lots of emphasis to hear what God had said. In the New Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ repeatedly told His disciples to use their ears to hear. Later on in Mark 4, we hear Christ again say, "If any man have ears to hear, let Him hear" (Mark 4:23). Then He said, "Consider carefully what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more." Our Lord is actually telling us, to be the a spiritual receiving stations, hearing and responding to the voice of God.

So how well do you hear? Some animals can hear much better than people. And people can hear better than some animals. An alligator can hear only one-fifth as well as man, a minnow one-fourth, and a frog only one-half. Yet a dog can hear twice as well as man, a cat two and one-half times, and bats five times as well.

God is always inviting His people to hear Him. In the Old Testament, God spoke through Moses to encourage the people to hear (Deut. 31:11-13). In Isaiah 55:3, God spoke through Isaiah to encourage the people to hear. Jesus repeatedly encourage His disciples to use their ears to gear and to heed the message of God. Even in Revelations, Christ encouraged the churches of Asia Minor to hear the message that He was proclaiming to them.

When God speaks, let us discipline ourselves to not think of the things of the world and our problems but ask the Spirit to help us to focus all our attention on God. Let us give him the most careful and reverent attention. It is not merely enough to hear what God says; we must heed what he says. He who hears and heeds the voice of the Lord will find strength and stability for living (Matt 7:24-27).

Blessings for the New Year

Psalms 128

A song of ascents.

¹ Blessed are all who fear the LORD,
who walk in obedience to him.
² You will eat the fruit of your labor;
blessings and prosperity will be yours.
³ Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
around your table.
⁴ Yes, this will be the blessing
for the man who fears the LORD.

may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life.

peace be on Israel.

During CNY, Chinese will always wish each to have more Blessings, Prosperity or even Longevity. It is not wrong for Christians to wish each other the same but the difference is that our Blessings, Prosperity and Longevity came from the source (God) and not from other circumstances.

Psalm 128 is a very encouraging Psalm on blessings. It was used often as a marriage prayer because it was sung at Israelite marriages. (YW, SH and those who are married take note of this Psalm). As the start of the new year, although it is already 2 months after January. We must always remember the source of all blessings came by fearing the Lord and walking in his ways. When we acknowledged God in our lives, fearing and walking according to his ways, there is a promise that is written in this Psalm. We will enjoy the fruits of our labor and the most important words for chinese (also for SH) "blessing and prosperity will be yours."

Let us remember this Psalm and always fear the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom." At the end, we will have peace from generations to generations.

Walking towards Unity

Reading from Ephesians 4:1-16

In Paul's letter to the Church in Ephesus, the first 3 chapters of the letter he was talking about the doctrine and the next half of the letter he emphasized on the practicality of the doctrine.

In the churches today, we need unity. Although, the people who make up the church are different; not one person have the same quality and character in the church. Just like an old Chinese illustration; one can break a single chopsticks into two, but hold a whole bunch together it is not easy to break. God has called us to be new people of God bound together in unity under Christ. How does that unity arise and how is it to be maintained? In Ephesians 4:1-16 there are four lessons we can learn on how people of God can be united.

1. The Grace of Unity - Paul lists 5 characters that a Christian that unity depends on: Humility, Gentleness, Patience, Mutual Forbearance, and Love. Love is more of an overarching quality that takes on all the other four characteristics. Think about it for a while, do you have these characteristics in your relationship with others? Pray about it, ask God to change us to be more like Christ.
2. The Grounds of Unity - Unity derives from the fact that the one Father creates the one family, the one Lord Jesus is the focus of one faith, hope, and baptism, and the one Spirit creates the one Body.
3. The Gift of Unity - Unity is enriched and built up by the diversity of gifts in the Church. Although there is only one Church and one God, One Spirit, one Lord, the church itself is made up of a whole lot of individuals, everyone is different from all the rest. So the list of gifts that are mentioned are important in the church for building the church up.
4. The Growth of Unity - If we are to achieve unity, we need to strive for maturity! to be grown up! In the case of church maturity this equates with attaining the full measure of the stature of Christ.

Let us grow up by becoming more like Christ as we grow into him, seek the truth in love, grow into Christ who is our head. Do your part in bringing the church to maturity, to unity, to the full stature of Christ.

What will I give up for the sake of the gospel?

Mark 8:35

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.

We are called to be disciple by God and as Christians how do we live our life? sacrifice is one of the cost or lifestyle of a Christian life, we sacrifice not in order to earn salvation, nor because sacrifice is intrinsically valuable, nor merely because it is demanded; instead, it is our free response to God's loving sacrifice towards us. We are to reflect Jesus character of sacrifice that reveals the way to live as the redeemed and loving children of God, but why does it characterize our discipleship so little? there are four main ways in which we have distorted our understanding of sacrifice.

a) Sacrifice using the wrong measure

b) Sacrifice only when compelled

c) Sacrifice with the wrong attitude

d) Sacrifice without cost

Let us remember that Jesus first sacrificed his life for us; we are ransomed from the futile ways inherited from our forefathers, not with perishable things such as gold or silver but with the precious blood of Christ. Let us sacrifice for the sake of the gospel out of love for God and His kingdom.

The cost of Discipleship

A lot of times Christians do not really know the cost of being a disciple of Christ. We know that Christ has redeemed us from the bondage of sin, it is the blood of Christ that redeemed us. So suffering is always been a big part of Christian Faith and the Christian cross has always been a central theme of Christianity; it is a sign of Christ’s death but just as importantly, it is also a sign of the disciples way of life. What then is the real cost of Discipleship? The real costs of discipleship are, as disciple we have to:

• Be Committed - Know that as Christians we need to be committed to Christ. Take up your cross and follow Him.
• Be Realistic - Consider the cost of what it truly means to be a disciple, are you ready to die for Him?
• Be Humble - Do we live as grateful servants, submitting ourselves to His will? The ability to do that is a sign of real humility.
• Be Distinctive - People should know us by our actions and words but more importantly by our attitudes and the actions should show that we belong to God.

Look back at your walk with Christ, have you consider all the cost of being a Disciple? let us be reminded that we are to be Committed, to know the realistic nature of being a disciple, to be humble and submitting ourselves to the will of God and to make a difference in the society that people will know that we disciples of Christ.

Facing your River Jordan

Joshua 3

The miracle of the water parted was also found in the book of Exodus when Moses lead the Israelites out from Egypt and God parted the red sea for them to cross. After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. A new leader, and a new generation of Israelites are now ready to enter to their promise land with the leadership of Joshua. They journeyed to the edge of the river Jordan can camp there before crossing the river.

Joshua 3:5 Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."

Joshua 3:6 And Joshua said to the priests, "Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass on before the people." And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.

Joshua 3:13 And when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be stopped from flowing, and the waters coming down from above shall stand in one heap."

During the time of Joshua, Jordan river is not a small drainage size like we see today. the archeologist has discovered that at that time the river was about 1 mile wide. When the waters stop flowing, the Israelites came out their tents and crossed the river Jordan. After they had crossed the river, Joshua instructed them to place 12 stones where the Levites and the Ark were standing on the dry river bed as a remembrance of what God had done for them that day.

God still amongst us today, as we face problems that are as wide as the river Jordan we have to look on God for his providence. Just like the Israelites when they look upon God when they were in the wilderness wandering and God's presence are with them. God's presence are with us now as it is then. We have to be sensitive to the direction of the Holy Spirit. When we have to cross our river Jordan we need to trust God to work amongst us, like the Levites carrying the ark of the covenant, we too have to first step into the river and God will work his miracle. Indeed, there is a huge amount of faith and trust that is involved but as we place our faith in God we will see his miracles in our lives. Remember His providence for us, when the Israelites place the 12 stones it is a sign of remembrance for them what God had done. We have to give thanks and remember what God had done for us when we face our Jordan River and give all glory unto Him.

So when anyone face problems in their lives, remember the story of Joshua and how he lead 2 million people cross the river of Jordan and How God was with them all the way. He presence are always with us all we need to do is to place our feet into the water and He will do the rest!

Towards Purity

A farmer went each week to the Farmers' Market to sell, among other things, the cottage cheese and apple butter made on his farm. He carried these in two large tubs, from which he ladled the cottage cheese or apple butter into smaller containers the customers brought.

One day he got to the Market and discovered he'd forgotten one of his ladles. He had no choice but to use the one he did bring for both products. Before long, as the two products got mixed in with each other, he couldn't tell which was which. That's the way it is when the child of God loses his or her purity – he or she is no longer different, distinct, from the people of the world.

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus taught about the beatitudes and one of the beatitudes was "Blessed are the pure in the heart for they shall see God." What does Jesus mean by "heart"? The heart means the center of being and personality; it is the fount out of which everything else comes. It includes the mind; it includes the will; it includes the soul; it includes the emotions. It is the total man. By this He means those who are pure not merely on the surface but in the center of their being and at the source of their every activity. But the heart is also the root of all problems:

Matthew 15:19 ¹⁹ For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander

We have to guard our hearts from all these to keep our heart pure! But what is pure? there are 2 meanings to purity: 1) without defilement, cleansed, washed. The Apostle John tells us in Rev 21:27; 22:14 that those who are impure will not enter into the new Jerusalem. There is no place for impurity in the heavenly city. The only way we are cleansed are through the blood of Jesus who sacrificed himself on the cross for our sins. 2) sincere, without hypocrisy, single-minded. This kind of purity can be found in the Psalms: “… give me an undivided heart …” (Ps 86:11c).

Towards purity as our lifestyle, obviously, has to be and is a work of God and His grace. But we cannot remain passive and idle in the whole matter of purity. We need action and God expects reaction from our part as well:

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ⁸ Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.(NIV)

The fact that we know that we cannot ultimately purify and cleanse our heart does not mean we should walk in the gutters of life waiting for God to cleanse us. We must do everything we can to walk in holiness and sincerity. We must do all we can to avoid sin and evil. We must do everything we can even though we know it is not enough and that in the final analysis it is God Who must purify us.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." See God. This promise is extraordinary. All the other blessings of the Beatitudes are summarized in this one. To see God is the highest heavenly pleasure. You know what John says,

1 John 3:2 ² Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (NIV)

What an amazing thing to say – that you and I, such as we are, pressed with all the problems and troubles of this life are going to see Him face to face. You and I are meant for the audience chamber of God; you are I are being prepared to enter into the presence of the King of kings. Do you believe it? Will it happen to you? Do you realize that a day is coming you are going to see the blessed God face to face? Not as in a glass, darkly; but face to face. You and I are going to enjoy God, and to spend eternity in His glorious and eternal presence.

The Five Love Languages

I've been busy with my studies and my assignments in STM. I am in Lukut now staying in the church for a night before going to church tomorrow. While I am in STM other than reading my text books that are required for me to read. I am also reading "The Five Love Languages" by Dr. Gary Chapman. It is really interesting what he wrote about the Love Languages even if you are not in a relationship you can really use these Love Languages in your life although the book that i read was for couples.

I know what some of you are thinking! and its true, since i am in a relationship now, I am also looking for ways to improve my relationship whether with my girlfriend, with my friends or even with my family. I always interested in this area of topic and i read a lot of books about relationships, maybe i am interested in counselling couples. What are the FIVE LOVE LANGUAGE?

1. Words of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Receiving Gifts
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch

From these 5 love languages we can develop and understand other people's love language and try to relate to them with their language. It is especially good for married couples (CC, FF, KY, YC and LSQ too... take note). Everyone have a love tank, and it need to be filled in order to have a lasting relationship. Never depend on your "in Love" experience for that is only during courtship. Love is a choice at times your mate may not love you but you still have to love back. Above all, draw closer to God as a couple and you'll draw close to each other as a couple. :P

Other book that i had read is "Boy meet Girl" by Joshua Harris (recommended for SH and SL).

Fireproof

This is a nice movie talking about marriages and how God works in the life of the couple who want to restore the relationship in their marriage life! its a very touching movie and good for evangelism also...
