GiZmOs & GadGets

So...have any of you ever experience a difficulty to choose the right gadget? As we aware today.....there are tons of gadgets and gizmos out there in the market....so which one is really suited to our needs?? Whenever we decide to buy a gadget....we tend to think somehow what is the current trend or what is the lastest technology offered. Many of us are pretty confused with all this flooding into the market....we see it everyday....in the paper, tv, radio, billboard and people. So where is the guideline here? Perfect example.....
BroJ....lost his mobile phone today so due to his nature of work.....he have no choice but to get a new mobile phone. So...he called up his buddies to come along to help up i guess.....so....we are walking into the mobilephone galore in SParade. Easily you can see 6 different shops with at least 3 different pricing on the same hp model. I guess with all this different pricing and models....broJ surely having a tough time to decide on what or which model really suits him. So we walked and walked from shop to shop. Well....there is one that caught his attention though but it will cost him a whopping of 1700. Justifed? Bloody hell....i might as well top up 300 for a pda phone. So....here we go again....looking at soe of the pda phone....luckily we brought with us our gadget consultant...namely KW. So he did some enquiring and explaining to our 'not-so-gadgety' friend. Again...some models are stunning and full of the lastest technology....fast interface....good color n graphic....and is a whopping 3000++.....so what u think??? He bought it?? Well...judging from his facial expression....I really doubt it....so....where to now??? Secret Recipe....for our evening tea. Sat down, talked....discussed, compared and here we go again. We went back to the same back alley of fish market...and stop at this one particular shop...and our BroJ enquire that same particular hp....and they offered him 1600 best price. So....we sat down....trying out the phone....past out a few comments....we laughed....the store guy laughed. I must say that we did a pretty lengthy try-out on that phone. 3 guys testing out the phone and giving out their professional opinions and only one guy own it!!! DAmn it....i think the other 2 guys got the pleasure of really 'molesting' that phone before giving back to the rightful owner-to-be. So....to cut it short....he ended up buying that phone which i honestly believed that he actually like it and the bluetooth handsfree too which cost him another 150. All in is 1750. CAnt u buy a notebook with this?? SUre u can.....but he also bought himself a sense of completion or satisfaction....the fact that he have the latest mobile phone among us three or more. Damn it!! At the end of the evening...broJ just got this smile on his face....he actually did thought of changing his hp, is just not the time yet....but today all seems to be planned out pretty well.....so...in the event that u decide to buy a phone or any other gadges be it dvd player or sound systems, make sure you bring with you a second opinion or someone who can give u their input on that particular item u are planning to buy....take some time to look up over the internet regards to the item....be sure of it warranty period, functionality of what it can do or what it cant do. Always remember not to let the sales people talk u into it. Your friends can be that invisible barrier for that salesman.....so....what phone did BroJ bought?
