I was reading the paper on Thursday when I stumbled upon this piece of news: Nearly half of Americans uncertain God exists.
One question which pops into my mind is how did they conceptualize the survey questions such that it is relevant enough to meet the objective of the poll? Does this require merely statistical tools and questioning techniques? Or would some spiritual knowledge make a difference?
Well, I wouldn't know cause I'm not sure what were the questions included in the poll anyway. It's somewhat interesting (or disheartening?) when you look at the results. By the way, who were the people they targeted in the poll?
I've read somewhere that the more prosperous a community becomes, the more adrift that community would be. So the next study could be a comparison between different continents (or countries) on the certainty of God's existence.
Or a cross-religion study would also be interesting; might help for evangelical purposes.
