Airport

cc
Ello guys, how is it going? Currently am sitting at the new laptop access booth at Changi airport blogging. Really nice place, somehow I just don't mind spending 5hours here waiting for my flight back home. Oh, yes 5 freaking hours. I could be in Melbourne by now.... or maybe halfway. Earlier I was so tired that I said to myself, why not use all those precious fliers point and upgrade to business class so you can use the lounge, not that I am feeling expensive or anything, just that I haven't got any sleep in 36 hours.... yup, 36 hours. Had to watch the red devils whoop Barca's arse last night then had to take an early flight out of Jakarta. But good thing I decided not to sacrifice those points for some rubbish sleep. Walked zombily to a sports bar and sat on their comfortable chair, some old Carling cup game was on but couldn't manage to concentrate a bit, while the commentator was saying something about Drogba diving.....then my mind played a nice lullaby, snoozing my mind to ease for a good 1 hour. Woke up and saw 3 guys sitting right next to me me dreaming candy land, or maybe wet land....you'll never know. Walked zombily to a pizza stand and couldn't decide between sea food pizza or sausage pizza. Roll my eyes like a dice and it somehow showed sea food pizza - took the first bite but couldn't taste the salty sea water goodness, took a second bite still none. What the hell man, it's a vegetarian pizza that looks like a sea food pizza. Must have mistaken the egg plant for oyster..... dangz. I hate vegetarian. Why didn't that waiter said anything when I ordered?

Waiter: Good afternoon sir, how may I help you?
Me: Oh, errrr.... I think I wan that wan (pointing to the "seafood" pizza)
Waiter: Okay

In a perfect world it should be like this

Waiter: Good afternoon sir, how may I help you?
Me: Oh, errr....I think I wan that wan (pointing again to the "seafood" pizza)
Waiter: You mean that VEGETARIAN PIZZA sir?
Me: Oh shit, not vegetarian!!!! Good thing you said, for once I thought it was seafood.
Waiter: *chuckle* Oh no sir, it's not
Me: Okay, then I would like to have that wan (pointing to that sausage pizza)

But situation could be worst seeing Singapore is not exactly where the best service originated

Waiter: Ah, wad u wan??
Me: Oh, errr....I think I wan that wan (pointing again to the "seafood" pizza)
Waiter: VEGETARIAN PIZZA ar?
Me: Oh shit, not vegetarian!!!! Good thing you said, for once I thought it was seafood.
Waiter: Wad shit? U call me shit ar?
Me: Eh, no la, it was an expression
Waiter: Dun play play u noe...call me shit, shit u la
Me: ............ok, excuse me Shit, can I have that pizza?

well, of course it didn't happen that way. For once my waiter is a nice lad and I am still ecstatic with our win last night, nothing can bring me down. Bu this wasn't my main intention of blogging. I do notice one simple truth. Every time when I travel, bad news seem to happen. Not that I am a jinx or Sean, but I guessed it must be watching CNN while boring myself to death in the hotel room. Back at home, I only subscribe to Cartoon Network or Star World... echoing wad yc said of me last time (yerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....why so superficial wan?) I must have blinked at least 60 times from the time she started saying yerrrrrr......... until the last few rrrrr. Not because she wanted to end it but she was running out of breath. I am actually glad I don't have to watch CNN, it's bad news all the time. Oil price rising while SHELL and BP profit margin soar 48%, OBAMA vs HILLARY (like who cares la), really nut case incest story, typhoon wiping out houses and shops. I don't usually hear these kind of news day in day out and I am actually glad that I only get to know of it when traveling. Maybe I choose to be ignorant to the problems in society, maybe I just want to keep my hands clean and pretend to live a good life, but think about it, the world is not getting better, it will never gets better. It will gets worst. With all the addition to war, famine, greed, politics, pollution or even decrease in life value.....one should probably shut his/her mind to the decaying unless you're God and can control the circumstances. But hey, bravo to those who are fighting for what they believe is true and right, these people are rare gems. Rare because they can put their race, religion or money interest aside and instead giving their lives to the one who needs. Gems because they are much needed by the widows and orphans or people who have nothing to cling on, other than their souls. Do you know such people?
