Not a Goodbye

This is NOT farewell.

This is what LSQ said in her e-mail to us.

I'm so happy for this friend of mine, who will be leaving for US this Friday 13th November 2009 to join her husband in Seattle. Indeed, it is not easy to be living so far away from your other half for more than a year yet she has done it. I am so excited for her as finally the day has come for her to leave Malaysia and to live in US as Mrs. Cheung.

As I reflect on our friendship, I can see God's hand at work to bring us together, and to bring her as a blessing to me. Before getting to know her, her name has always been a synonym to "Kevin's sister" and nothing more than that. I only began to know her the few months prior to her wedding in 2008 when she started to join our cell group.

Her bubbly character and superb socializing skills have always been an eye-opener to me. I admire her ability to talk to almost anyone, her confidence and her song-leading capabilities in the cell group. Without her and CL, my life for this past one year would not have been the same. Their assistance, patience, support and sisterly love for me as I was stressing myself out during my wedding preparations have been God's blessings and providence.

Life is a series of encounters. My encounter with LSQ is nothing short of joy, love and kindness. As she embarks on a new chapter of her life, I wish her happiness and may this friendship not be stunted by the space created by distance and time.
