Forgiveness ....

It’s been a while since I posted anything since the review about the new windows vista...

Well... Since SH started to post in about spiritual and encouraging stuffs... And it’s my turn...

I was talking to SH the other day after Home fellowship group... we were just sharing and I was prompted to talked about forgiveness. I think as human we always find it difficult to do the things what God have instructed us to do, especially FORGIVENESS. We need to developed a character that forgives... that reminds me of the movie spiderman3 it have a very good element that can learn from... remember Spiderman/peter parker forgave Sandman who accidentally killed his uncle? I think that portrays a very good education to the viewers and its quite biblical too! :)

I was leading in bible study for the youth Last Saturday in the youth program. I was prompted by the spirit to talk about forgiveness. So I asked them a scenario when they were hurt so badly emotionally or physically what are the possible actions that they will take? Well... I’ve got answers like... ignoring, kena him back, revenge, buy guns and start shooting!! And so on... then I just lead on the subject and they made a good conclusion too... they said Revenge only gives a person a short moment of satisfaction but a whole life of regret but Forgiveness is a short moment of "uneasiness" and gain a friend rather than an enemy!

We should always learn from Jesus as an example... u know rite Jesus doesn't teach about revenge... if He do! After He rose from the dead He will be looking for the people to get his revenge! But he prayed and asked God to forgive them! You know what are the biggest obstacles that hinder us to forgive a person? I think is Pride and EGOness! As long as we do not humble ourselves... we can't forgive that easily...

After that I was asked a question! Does forgiveness = forget? I think it is lor! Cause why forgive if u still remember the things that other people have caused? I think living like that have no meanings at all cause if we do not forget the things that people do that hurts us we will always have a barrier with that person!

There was a story about a person who walks at the beach with his best friend. When ever the friend did something hurting to him, he will write it down on the sand. When this friend did something good for him, he writes it down on the rock. Out of curiosity this friend asked "why do u write the things that I have offended or hurt you onto the sand and things that I have encourages, support or even good u write it on the rock?" He reply saying "I write all the offensive and hurtful things u did to me on the sand because when the waves come and wipe it all away, I will forget all about it. But when I write good things on the rock represents things that I will remember for the rest of my life"

Remember Jesus said that whoever come to the house of prayer to pray but have grudge against other people. First settle that grudge and reconcile with that person before come back to pray or worship God! I know it’s hard to forget and it takes time... But I think the grace of God is sufficient for us!

May this short sharing encourage us to forgive one another.
