Saigon

Venturing out the HCMC airport is a daunting experience. Coti-men and touts are all around, trying to reach out for your luggage and dumping it into their mini van. Shoving you to their rides and before you could breathe a sense of serenity; fear looms in your thought, whispering to you “This is going to be a very expensive ride”. Indeed it will be. These touts will often charge USD 20 for a 20 min ride into city center – normally it should only cost USD 6 – 8. This is what I’ll do; get out of the airport, look around, get busy on your blackberry, or lit up a cigarette and start surveying around. Who are the real cab drivers and who are the touts. Except in my case, I do not have a blackberry or a cigarette, so approach the nearest driver and demanded half the fare price of what he is offering.
Anyway, HCMC, an alluring place for many who wants to seek serenity and tranquility in an eventful place. An abyss of a never ending plasmatic chain of foods and Wi-Fi”ed” cafes. Engulfed with “hell-originated” lust for taste and alcohol, I scrambled to buy a plagiarized version of lonely-planet for RM 20 and start tripping into all recommended place for food. My favorite is Fanny. Does not sound like a nice macho man place, but the ice-cream was sensational. I did not know until after I have eaten, that I ordered a scoop of durian ice-cream, jumbled with a shot of whiskey and a bottle of 333 (local beer). Smart move, “dumbass”.

On the menu and the actual Malicoco.

My next day, a trip to CuChi. A great network of 75miles of tunnel built to frustrate the American during the Vietnam war. Anyway, my main reason to go there is to shoot some M16. Oh and for those who use M16 when playing CS, you can never tap M16. It’s impossible. Believe me, I have tried.

M16 bullets. Thought of smuggling one back.
Imagine that is SH, imagine that is SH, imagine that is SH......

SH would definitely like this trap. "Veli syok"

Check out the wicked bomb shells.

Overall, HCMC it they type of city I would spend my entire life in.
