John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Christmas is just around the corner, and I believe that amidst the Christmas tree, Santa Claus, hanging of stockings and mistletoes, Christmas is actually about the birth of God's one and only Son, Jesus Christ. We know that 25 December is not really the birthday per se of Christ. Moreover, Christmas has been so commercialized that everyone is celebrating it, for every reason from the "romantic-ness" of it to the spiritual message that it brings. I have friends who are non-believers who "celebrates" Christmas more "faithfully" than some of the believers. Some doesn't even realize what Christmas is really about, despite the obvious lyrics of the carols and jingling bells.
Nevertheless, this time of the year is a good time for us to remind ourselves of the birth of Christ (whether it's on 25 Dec or not), and God's love for the world, i.e. us.
