A blog or a diary?

That is a question I want to answer... but unfortunately it's quite hard to predict. I see blogs come and go, there are people who blogs very often then suddenly lost the passion and move on to facebook or whatever friendster is left. Somehow blogs resemble diary.... without the element of absolute and total truthfulness. The motive of blogging is so that people will read. I somehow think the element of causing interest among readers has compensated the need to express something deep and personal, for example no one blogs about his/her worst and embarassing mistake, or blog about their sins and downfall. It's always about "Oh, today I'm feeling down, I have a lot of homework to do" or "Oh today is a sad day, my boss scolded me". Nothing about "Oh, today I curse my brother for talking bad about me to my dad, and now I hate my family" or "Oh today, I feel God's presence is no longer around, because ..........". It always about the surface with some icing and decoration and cam whoring, but nothing about the core of the matter, the basic, the main ingredient. It always "I'm going out with my friends today, I love it, we are going to watch movies...bla bla bla.." and nothing about "I'm going out with my friends cause I have a crush on ???, I think I love him"... you know what I mean. So what are the incentives to keep us going?
