I'm taking a break from reading about George Muller and decided to turn to the Bible instead for a "break". Honestly, the book is not an easy digest but I'm not sure if it's due to my "on drugs" status or the writing IS a challenge to read.
I'm sure that all of us know about the seven sins which has been portrayed in movies and much discussed (even unbelievers know about it). As I'm reading Proverbs 6:16-19, I found the "six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers."
As I think about these seven detestable acts, I thought of its relevance to my own life and how common these things have become in our society today. Have you heard of the term "white lie"? Have you heard of "survival of the fittest"? Have you heard of "innocent rumours"? How can we convince the world we are in today that these things are all wrong? How can we really live up to what the Bible tells us to do?
My answer for you right now: Read George Muller.
